Our Warranty Promise
Because every product we sell is 100% brand new and sourced from authorised distributors, every laptop comes with a full international manufacturer's warranty. We do not sell grey-market or parallel-import units — your warranty is legitimate and fully registerable.
More importantly, Chedders Computer does not leave you to deal with the manufacturer alone. We assist you through every step of any warranty claim — acting as your advocate, not just a middleman.
Warranty by Brand
The following are standard manufacturer warranty durations for the brands we carry. Some models may carry extended warranty options — check your warranty card or contact us.

Warranty periods begin from the date of purchase, as stated on your Chedders Computer receipt.
What Manufacturer Warranty Covers
- Hardware defects arising from normal use (e.g. faulty keyboard, display issues, battery defects).
- Internal component failures not caused by accidental damage.
- Factory-related build quality issues (e.g. dead pixels beyond manufacturer threshold).
- Fan, charging port, or motherboard failures under normal use.
Chedders Advantage: We maintain direct relationships with manufacturer service centres in Nigeria. This means faster claims processing for our customers compared to walking in independently.
What Warranty Does Not Cover
- Physical damage caused by drops, impacts, or pressure.
- Liquid damage (water, drinks, or any moisture ingress).
- Damage caused by unauthorised repairs or modifications.
- Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents) that do not affect functionality.
- Consumable parts that wear naturally over time (e.g. battery degradation after normal use cycles).
- Damage resulting from use outside manufacturer specifications (e.g. incorrect voltage).
- Removed, defaced, or altered serial numbers or warranty stickers.
Important: Opening the laptop casing or allowing an unauthorised technician to tamper with the device will void the manufacturer's warranty. Always contact us first if you experience a hardware problem.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Step 1: Contact Chedders Computer via WhatsApp, phone, or email. Describe the issue and provide your purchase receipt and serial number.
- Step 2: Our team will assess whether the issue falls under manufacturer warranty coverage.
- Step 3: If eligible, we will coordinate with the relevant manufacturer service centre on your behalf and advise on next steps.
- Step 4: The manufacturer will repair or replace the faulty unit in accordance with their warranty terms.
- Step 5: We follow up with you until the claim is fully resolved.
Keep Your Documents Safe
To make any future warranty claim smooth and fast, we recommend you keep the following safe:
- Your Chedders Computer purchase receipt (physical or digital).
- The manufacturer's warranty card included in your box.
- The original product box and packaging (especially for the first few months).
- Your device's serial number (printed on the bottom of the device or in the System Settings).
