At Chedders Computer, we sell only 100% brand-new, factory-sealed laptops sourced from authorised distributors. We take pride in the quality of every product we deliver. If something is genuinely wrong with your order, we will do everything within our power to make it right.

Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. If you have any questions, our team is always available to clarify before you buy.


Eligible Returns

A return or replacement will be considered in the following circumstances:

  • The laptop arrives with a broken or tampered manufacturer's seal — do not accept such a package.
  • The product received is physically damaged upon arrival (dents, cracked screen, broken port, etc.).
  • The product is dead on arrival (DOA) — it does not power on or fails to boot after first use.
  • You received the wrong model or specification compared to what was confirmed in your order.
Time Limit: All return claims must be raised within 24 hours of delivery for physical damage or wrong item issues. DOA claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Non-Eligible Returns

The following are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Change of mind after the manufacturer's seal has been broken.
  • Damage caused by the customer (drops, liquid spills, physical abuse).
  • Software-related issues (e.g., Windows activation, app compatibility) — these are not hardware defects.
  • Items not purchased directly from Chedders Computer.
  • Products with removed, defaced, or altered serial numbers or warranty stickers.

Return Process

If you believe your return qualifies, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Contact us within the stated time window via WhatsApp (+234 916 000 6406) or email (info@chedderscomputer.store). Describe the issue and provide photos or video evidence.
  • Step 2: Our team will review your claim within 24 hours and confirm eligibility.
  • Step 3: If approved, we will arrange return logistics. Do not ship anything back without written approval from us.
  • Step 4: The returned item will be inspected upon receipt. Processing takes 1–2 business days.
  • Step 5: A replacement, exchange, or refund will be issued based on the outcome of the inspection.

Refunds

Where a refund is approved and the returned item has been inspected and confirmed:

  • Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days of inspection completion.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method (bank account, card, etc.).
  • Bank transfer refunds may take an additional 1–2 working days depending on your bank.
  • Original delivery fees are non-refundable unless the error was ours.

Manufacturer Warranty Claims

For issues that arise after the 48-hour window — such as a hardware fault that develops during normal use — these are handled under the manufacturer's warranty, not our return policy.
